MANIEMA: NATIONAL P-DDRCS COORDINATOR STOPS IN KINDU, DELIVERS A STRONG MESSAGE OF COMMITMENT AND PATRIOTISM

Kindu, October 10, 2025 – While in transit, Professor Jean de Dieu Désiré Ntanga Ntita, National Coordinator of the Disarmament, Demobilization, Community Recovery and Stabilization Programme (P-DDRCS), made a brief but meaningful stop in Kindu, capital of Maniema Province, where he was warmly welcomed by the provincial team of the P-DDRCS under the leadership of Me AMURANI YUMA BUNGIAS, the Head of Coordination Team.
Though short, the visit carried powerful significance. Professor Ntanga Ntita commended the commitment and dedication of the Maniema team and urged them to continue their work with professionalism, patriotism, and integrity — principles he described as essential to fulfilling the vision of His Excellency, President Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, for lasting peace and national cohesion in the Maniema Province.
During the exchange, the National Coordinator took the opportunity to brief the team on the outcomes of his recent mission to Kalemie, where he led high-level coordination meetings with provincial authorities and development partners on reintegration and stabilization projects for ex-combatants.

Reaffirming the national ownership of the P-DDRCS, Professor Ntanga Ntita expressed his firm intention to return to Kindu for his first official mission of the program in Maniema, aimed at scaling up the government’s peace and recovery efforts in the province.
This symbolic stop reinforced the government’s commitment to inclusive peacebuilding, ensuring that no territory is left behind in the national strategy for stabilization. The coordinator also reminded his audience that the P-DDRCS is a state-led mechanism under the highest authority of the Head of State, and its success relies on discipline, loyalty, and a shared sense of public service.
